Last night was a productive band parent meeting.  We discussed where we stand on our concessions earnings and disclosed that we've made over $3,000 for the band program at this time.  We discussed the the comings home game with East Ridge (10/22) and our plans for concessions.  We also discussed the our 3 away games with Edgewater (10/15), Winter Haven (10/29) and Apopka (11/5).

We went on to discuss the Showcase Event at West Orange and MPAs.  Call Times for the West Orange event on 10/16 is 1:30pm.  Call time for MPAs was set at 10:30am on 11/6.  Parent chaperones and students should report at that time so we can leave with enough time to make it to each place on time.

Another topic was the difficulty we've had this year in getting parent volunteers to get involved with the program. It is a function of not having our regular mandatory meetings with parents after ice breaker and at the end of band camp.  We talked about making it a requirements that parents attend 2 band parents meeting throughout the year so that everyone is informed going forward.

Finally, we discussed our upcoming 2022 Car Show.  A date of 2/26/22 was picked and a time of 9:00am to 1:00 pm was decided. Mr Grossnicklaus will put in the application to admin.  We will start working on contacting our past sponsors and seeing if they want to sponsor again.  We will also notify prior entrants and try and get pre-registrations locked in earlier.  We will discuss this again at the next meeting.

The student snap raise event has only 9 days left.  Get your friends and family to donate and help us reach the goal of $10,000.  Come one Wekiva, We can do this!
