WE DID IT! NEW UNIFORMS ARE COMING SOON!
Thanks to all the help we received from County School Board Commissioner Melissa Byrd, County Commissioner Christine Moore, Apopka Mayor Bryan Nelson and Apopka Commissioner Diane Velasquez not to mention the amazing support we got from our own principal, Dr Tamara Baker-Drayton. The Wekiva Mustangs will be marching the 2022 Football season in new uniforms. Thank you, again, to all involved and we'll see you on the field!
New Uniform Drive
The Wekiva Marching Mustangs performed multiple fundraisers to replace our original uniforms. This was a multi-year project, but has been successful in the end.
To the right (and in the page header) are some of our student wearing a mock up of the new uniform. As you can see, the uniform is much more vibrant and eye-catching. It also has our mascot prominently displayed on the chest. The material in the new uniform is also lighter weight and more conducive to marching in Central Florida's heat which will lead to less medical issues at games and competitions. We thank Music to My Mind, a 501(c)3 non-profit charity that uses area professionals to go into the schools and assist music programs through instruction, performance and funding for all the help they provided us during this effort. Thank you for your time and consideration in helping out our wonderful students here at Wekiva High School. |
