2022 SILENT AUCTION
We are holding this Silent Auction to raise money in order to purchase new marching uniforms. Wekiva High School opened in the fall of 2007, and this is the 14th school year that it has been open. The marching uniforms we currently have are the original uniforms and they are beginning to wear out as a result of their age. These new uniforms have been worn by over 1,500 students and over 15,000 times over the last 14 years. That combined with the incredibly hot Florida weather has made the uniforms fray and come apart. Unfortunately, we must come up with the money for new uniforms by ourselves.
Currently, we have raised just over $10,000 of the nearly $45,000 that new uniforms will cost. Our goals is to raise the remaining $35,000 over the next year so that we may order and receive our new uniforms for the Fall of 2022. In keeping with that goal, we have developed various fundraisers, of which this is one. Our event is expected to draw at least 300 parents and members of our community. We are hoping that offering items to sell to these community members will help us raise a portion of the amount needed for new uniforms.
We would like to ask you directly – would your business or organization please help us out by donating to our Silent Auction Fundraiser? Any donation you make is tax-deductible. Donations to any Orange County Public School falls under guidelines of donations to a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization.
Thank you for your time and consideration in helping out the wonderful students here at Wekiva High School.
